This integration project was a significant upgrade to RouteMasters route optimisation and order dispatch capabilities.
Typically, when a haulage company joins more than one pallet network, each network has its own driver app and, in some cases, a dedicated device to capture signature and pallet statutes. This requires drivers to switch between devices and apps for each delivery.
We integrated into each pallet network’s API to automatically download the delivery manifests into Routemaster. Our route optimiser could then automatically plan all the deliveries in minutes using the fewest vehicles while meeting all the delivery constraints, reducing the planning time from hours to minutes.
Our driver app would then display all of the jobs from all pallet networks and internal delivery, when a signature or pallet status update was captured, it would be sent via API to the relevant system reducing the drivers workload considerably.
