
Version 2.0 of the Interlink Platform focused on an easier-to-use product. The main tracking interface was streamlined for optimal user workflow, and a range of iOS and Android companion apps were launched.
The user interface was redesigned to provide a tracking interface that displays all the critical information of a fleet activity in a single view, with minimum effort required to drill into a vehicle activity or generate a report.
As product owner, I oversaw the architecture and design strategy. I designed the app UI mockups, hired contractors and staff and managed the development team. I was also involved in generating the marketing collateral images and videos.
Server Architecture
Version 2.0 included a revised server architecture; we implemented SymetricDS database replication technology, which enabled us to run two servers per instance in the master-master mode so both servers could load balance devices and users and were fully redundant and fault tolerant.
